A MINI-MUSEUM (Next to the Info Booth)
Eastside Heritage Center brings history to you! Step back in time and explore the Eastside’s rich agricultural history; discover the origins of Bellevue’s first Strawberry Festivals in the 1920s-30s; and learn about what life was like on the Eastside during the waning years of the Great War.

Grind corn the way early Eastsiders did and try your hand at pumping water. Create a personal time capsule by using a traditional canning machine to seal a can of your memories and "artifacts" for years to come. Bring items from home or find something special at the Festival. There will also be "my favorite things" forms available for you to fill out and include in your time capsule. Children can also have a dairy farm experience, trying their hand at milking a cow, and to try their hand at pressing cider with our Cider Press.

When did you or your ancestors move to the Eastside? From where did you come? Leave your mark on a giant world map and share your story.

Ever wonder what kind of equipment was used on Eastside farms and in Eastside households in the 1920s and 1930s? Now is your chance to find out! Logging was one of the Eastside's first major industries. Early loggers cleared the forests, leaving lots of open land which was perfect for homesteading. Learn more about some of the tools used to perform this difficult and demanding work.

Filled with fun FREE activities around the Strawberry Festival! Activities include hands-on history, games, and more. Pick up a Passport at the Information Booth or at one of the Passport Stations.
